The prevalent issue of prejudice against femininity in queer folks by cis-gendered gay men is caused by a multitude of influences, such as toxic construction of masculinity, misogyny, and femme-phobia. YES FEM seeks to address the issue by raising awareness on femmephobia among cis-gendered gay men, as well as to expose the ironic nature of gender construction and performance through the manipulation of language and image.
