More than 90 percent of world’s coral reefs will die by 2050 and it is happening at twice the pace of rainforest decline. The world’s largest coral reef system, visible even from outer space, has lost half of its coral in the past three years. The Reeform campaign aims to raise awareness of the rapid rate of coral bleaching and the ways in which plastic pollution and on land human activities impacts this. It focuses on informing individuals to stop coral bleaching by learning about the importance of coral reefs and by becoming more conscious of bleaching events occurring globally as a result of their own daily actions.
