Many people tend to scrub their dishes before even putting them in the dishwasher. However, modern dishwashers are equipped with technology to rinse and wash off food residue without having to do it before hand. If people we’re able to make a minor change in this habit, a single person could save up to 6,000 gallons of water a year. One Wash aims to target the individual, particularly middle-aged people with larger families, to adapt their dish washing routine. Although, the messaging does still apply to everyone. The call to action is to not double wash dishes, and to waste the least amount of water possible.
