On January 15, 2004, President George Bush announced a new space initiative to bring man back to the moon by 2020 and onwards to Mars by 2030. Exuberantly expensive, the cost of these two missions is estimated to be $104 billion dollars and $1 trillion dollars, respectively. Back on Earth, America is in dire need of social reforms. From education to healthcare, funding is desperately required to improve the quality of life for Americans across the nation. Aimed at the young voter demographic, Astronot raises awareness of the tremendous expenses incurred through the human spaceflight program and encourages the voting of political officials who favor reallocating the funds of human spaceflight.
