To shave or not to shave? The social issue I focused on this semester is women’s rights to do what they want with their bodies – specifically their decisions on what to do with their body hair. Today, visible body hair on women is rarely seen. Hairy bodies stand out in an abnormal way, even though hair grows on our bodies every moment of our lives - body hair is natural. au naturel addresses importance of young women taking back ownership of how their body should look, whether that means being hairless or not, it’s up to individuals to decide.
